Where Children and Wild Horses Run Free

There are places we never really leave.

They live quietly within us—in the scent of blossoming trees, the warmth of sunlit fields, the sound of wind moving through tall grass, or the feeling of wandering a familiar path with nowhere to be.

Growing up between the Adriatic Sea and my grandmother's mountain village in Croatia, those landscapes became part of who I am. Long days spent swimming in the sea gave way to weekends climbing cherry trees, working in vineyards, walking ancient stone paths, and watching the light move across endless hillsides. I don't paint those places as they were. I paint how they are remembered.

These contemporary abstract landscapes are built from fragments of memory, imagination, and emotion. Their expressive marks, luminous color, and layered surfaces invite each viewer to discover their own stories within them.

My hope is simple: that these paintings become a place to pause. A reminder to breathe deeply. A quiet return to the strongest, most beautiful memories of your own life.

Because where children and wild horses run free is not a destination.

It's a place we carry within us.
