A NEW collection of abstract oil paintings referencing landscape and flora.
This is a new and ongoing body of work.
Each Topography is an imagined place, it exists nowhere that I can reference but perhaps it does exist somewhere. These are landscapes of my memories.
My process of creating is unplanned, spontaneous and impulsive.
I construct the picture directly on the surface by moving the brush without planning the strokes or the composition, allowing each shape morphed by color to come alive and bring it's own meaning to the story. Some colors and shapes are easily identifiable, some are intentionally ambiguous allowing each picture to have multiple interpretations
